Serpentine Runerow
Within the Thursatru Tradition we have been blessed with the guidance by the Thurses to use the Uþark Runerow in a Reversed Serpentine manner, specifically for the Numerology of the Thursian Giants aspiring to be victorious in Ragnarök. This is but a short introduction to our esoteric runic system to give an understanding of its methods and significance.
It produces a unique way for our great Utgardian work to receive the will of the Giants of Ginn and to attain corresponding magical numbers connected to the adversarial Thursian Current which we are working with to counteract the tyrannical æsir and their world. It goes against the traditional rune practice, just like the sinister Thurses and their entire existence are going against the structured realities and worlds of the æsir and vanir. This is the way of the Thursatruar, going against the current to find its source on the Outside.
The serpent force, which is expressed both as a snake and a dragon, is of greatest significance within the Thursatru Tradition. The serpent symbolizes formidable power manifesting as the antithetical currents which emanated from within Ginnungagap and out into the finite cosmos ruled by the æsir to counteract it, and it represents the primordial essence of the Thursian powers. The serpent force is illustrated in the Eddas as ancient, gigantic, and terrifying beings such as the Eitr spitting Jörmungandr who ”writhes in giant rage” and Niðhöggr who ”in his wings carries corpses” and ”sucks the bodies of the dead”.
The runes in our Serpentine Runerow have been divulged to us to be perceived as twenty-four paths of how to reconnect with the Thursian powers. Similarly, how to follow the Reversed Serpentine Path through the Uþark Runerow which clarifies the crossing through our present mundane situation represented in the Fehu rune back to the nihility of Ginnungagap which is for the Thursatruar represented in the Uruz rune.
There is no hard proof of which is the correct order of the Othala rune and Dagaz rune in the older Uþark rune-row. The Swedish Kylver stone suggests Dagaz-Othala, but the Vadstena and Grumpan bracteates, from Sweden, say Othala-Dagaz.
Our reasoning for preferring the sequence Othala-Dagaz is 1) the Kylver stone is alone in having the sequence Dagaz-Othala and its carved runes seem to have been carved in a haste and by free hand, compared to the elegant Vadstena and Grumpan bracteates made in gold which both are evidently carefully made and must have taken a long time to make, thus it is unlikely they were erroneously made. 2) The Thurses have approved our choice and according to the important runic numeration which it has provided, it is proven to be the right one according to our frame of reference and anti-æsiric tradition.
