Ekortu's Upcoming Second Edition of 'Loki' Features Groundbreaking New Chapter
August 3, 2024
Ekortu is thrilled to announce updates regarding the second edition of his acclaimed book, Loki, which will include a long, never-before-published chapter that explores uncharted territories of Loki's mythological and spiritual significance.
This comprehensive new chapter delves into numerous areas previously unexplored. It revisits early skaldic and Eddic poetry, reevaluating the portrayal of Loki as a giant and explaining why the Thursatru Tradition regards him as a þurs rather than an áss. The chapter is rich with source references, enabling readers to further investigate these findings.
Ekortu thoroughly examines Loki’s genealogy, from his obscure father Fárbauti to his little-known mother Nál, detailing his children and women. The chapter highlights how Loki, the subverter of the Midgardian paradigm, originates from a distinct bloodline—from the Thurs Aurgelmir, like Angrboða, rather than from Búri, like Óðinn.
Loki’s primary weapon, his wisdom and insight, is explored in depth, showing its dual nature of blessings and curses, akin to the symbolism of a sword. The chapter investigates Loki as a provider and blacksmith, showcasing his adaptability and mastery over all elements—the cause of earthquakes, the marvel in waters, the wolf in the sky, and bender of flames, with a particular connection to mountains.
Moreover, the text delves into the areas of magic, weapons, shapeshifting, and Loki’s association with the salmon. It also explores his deep-rooted connections to the serpent, wolf, and death, shedding new Utgardian light on Loki's complex spirit.
This exhaustive study is essential for those interested in Loki, offering fresh perspectives and profound insights. Stay tuned for more details on the release date and pre-order information for this enhanced edition of Loki.

Ekortu Nears Completion of Extensive Thursian Manuscript
December 11, 2023
In the Thursian runic tradition and in divination, the appearance of the Rune of Fjalarr heralds a period of fiery ambition and empowerment. It advises us Thursatruar to feed the flames of our aspirations, work diligently to attain our goals and confront any obstacles with renewed vigor. Fjalarr’s inspiration instills courage and empowers those of us who choose to embrace their inner Thursian Flame.
In the spirit of ongoing progress, I would like to provide an update on the development of my new manuscripts. As mentioned previously, my focus revolves around various Thursian subjects within the context of my Ginnic Workings, evolving as new enlightenment and insights unfold daily. The active inspiration and guidance drawn from Thursian influences, particularly Loki and Gullveig, play a pivotal role in shaping my trajectory.
One significant undertaking involves the dedicated effort to complete a comprehensive book centered on Thursian Runes within our sacred runic system, known as the Serpentine Runerow. This extensive work encompasses diverse topics such as the interpretation of each rune from a Thursian perspective, including Tursarnas Vapen from Þursakyngi IV, Rune Divination and Magic, the construction of the Thursian Runic Altar, Thursian Runic Tools, the art of crafting consecrated Bindrunes, Runic Talismans, the Thursian Runic Wand, the Heartstone, and more.
Simultaneously, I am concurrently working on my three other books, each to follow the completion of the aforementioned work.
