The Thursatru Tradition, alternatively referred to as Þursatrú Siðr, originates from the reverence and devotion to the Thursian Giants. In our Thursian tradition, we carve new paths through Aurgelmir's bones to distinctively separate our beliefs from others. We acknowledge that Thursatru diverges from Old Norse perspectives, mythology, and religion. We are not asserting Thursatru as a Viking Age religion, but we incorporate Norse religious elements.

While we value Norse mythology and religion, we recognize that those powers exist today. Therefore, we engage with old Thurses from a modern viewpoint and practice, as it's crucial not to confine ourselves to what is solely recorded in the skaldic and Eddic corpora.

In our Þursa Siðr, spiritual powers from Outside of this world have inspired and taught us through years of invocations, prayers, communion, and divination. We've given the Thurses specific formulas, runic seals, and attributes, so they align with the essence of Norse mythological forms, but also reflecting the Utgardian Current within our spiritual practices and blót.

Contrary to the common misunderstanding that Thursatru is based on Abrahamic dualism, in Thursatru, the Þursar vs. æsir opposition is rooted in Eddic lore, not Abrahamic religions. Our foundation rests on:

1) Ymir/Aurgelmir, the first Þurs, predates æsir and the creation (Völuspá 2-3, Vafþrúðnismál 29, Gylfaginning 5).

2) Aurgelmir, considered evil, and his descendants are Þursar <Thurses>, not æsir (Gylfaginning 5). In this context, 'evil' signifies their role as adversaries and opponents of the æsir and their world.

3) During Ragnarök, Þursar will defeat æsir, burning their world (Völuspá 40ff, Gylfaginning 51).

Based on our understanding and spiritual wisdom, we see Þursar (Aurgelmir's descendants) as originating from a spiritual lineage in Ginnungagap, predating the æsir <gods> and Miðgarðr <the cosmos/universe>. Thus, this lineage is seen as acosmic, <not part of the cosmos>, Utgardian, <from Outside of the cosmos>, and Ginnic, <related to Ginnungagap>.

When the æsir emerged, they lacked the knowledge to create matter. They slew Aurgelmir and tried to eliminate his descendants, then utilized Aurgelmir's spiritual body to form their ordered world, Miðgarðr. In response, Ginnungagap's void birthed an opposing world, Útgarðr, ruled by Þursar as adversaries of the æsir and protectors of the Ginnic wisdom and power. Hence, the Þursar and their cause are deemed anti-cosmic, <opposing the cosmos>, and anti-æsiric, <opposing the æsir>.

In our perspective, the Ginnic or Thursian Spirit represented a pure, benevolent, and omnipotent essence in a tranquil Ginnungagap before the rise of the æsir. The æsir, viewed as greedy tyrants, killed the first Þurs to establish their own world governed by restrictions and laws. Therefore, Miðgarðr is seen as a hellish world ruled by the æsir, a world where our spirits are trapped in, and the Þursar being the opposition and liberators for those aligned with Aurgelmir's Spiritual, Thursian Bloodline.

The Thursatru Tradition, also known as Þursatrú Siðr, stems from working with the Thursian Giants.

Therefore, we engage with the Spirit of old Thurses from a modern viewpoint and practice, as it's essential to avoid limiting ourselves solely to what is documented from the Viking Age through the Middle Ages.

Moving on, 'Thursatru' and 'Thursatru Tradition' are synonymous; the inclusion of 'Tradition' serves to underscore the significance of adhering strictly to established customs, without freely altering them to suit personal preferences.

Our loyalty to this Tradition is relevant because it comprises a body of specific knowledge, principles, and practices received by numerous Thursatruar when attuning to certain Utgardian currents. This attunement involves using specified invocations, bindrunes, and names, while maintaining consistent mental images of the thurses. Thursatruar share similar expectations, attitudes, and an ethos that aligns with the tradition, imbuing Thursian forms with its quickening Ginnic power.

These approaches specific to the Utgardian currents, integral to our tradition, have undergone over a decade of testing and practice, demonstrating their ability to yield desired results within the framework of our Thursian Tradition, as they have been sanctioned and empowered by the Thurses. Therefore, the sole reason for an outsider to adopt someone else's tradition is to tap into the exact same Spiritual Essence and achieve similar results aligned with shared Ragnarokian goals.

Failure to adhere to the tradition with precision, particularly concerning the alignment of will, intention, motivation, attitude, and blót proceedings directed by the power of Will and Force of the Thurses, will result in an inability to access the same current tapped into by the Thursatru Tradition.

Likewise, should one choose to omit conflicting elements or introduce gods (æsir and vanir) deemed antithetical to the forces at work within the tradition, the link between tradition and current/essence is severed. Consequently, one no longer accesses the same specific current of Thursian Essence, even if employing similar names and symbols.

Compare the effort to communicate with the Thurses as sending a letter through the postal service: Using the correct full name and full address ensures that the letter reaches its intended recipient. However, altering names, adding numbers and preferred words, and substituting needed stamps with random stickers will prevent the letter from reaching its intended destination. Instead, it may become stuck or end up in the hands of a random and unrelated recipient.

Therefore, it's crucial for Thursatruar to uphold traditional methodologies to ensure access to our distinct Ginnic current. The term and established concept of Thursatru, as defined by our specific tradition, cannot be modified, or altered at will for the reasons mentioned above. If you find yourself not aligned with the Thursian Ethos of the current presented within this Northern Line of Practice, it's advisable to seek alternative paths instead.

Thursatru is not a missionary religion, our path holds no universal truth that we expect all to align with, instead it is something very specific for a few that can harmonize with the Ginnic Architects of Uncreation.

Most will dwell on that which is, while our tradition seek that which is not and the fullness of its void and lawless unbeing that our Ginnic current flows from and seeks to wash all back into.

Thursatru is dedicated solely to the Thurs-forces, which oppose Miðgarðr (the universe) and its gods. In this belief system, the gods (æsir, vanir, álfar, dísir, and verðir), along with the giant kind jotuns (jötnar), are considered members of the cosmic Midgardian pantheon. As such, they are viewed as oppressors and adversaries to everything beyond their realm, as well as to those who align themselves with the power from outside the established order.

At the heart of the Thursatru belief and spiritual practices lies a gnostic perspective, seeking to surpass the limitations and boundaries imposed by the æsir and their cosmic domains.

Thursatru encompasses a belief in the world on the Outside, Útgarðr, and regards its powers as allies in the Thursatruar's quest for spiritual liberation from cosmic oppression and constraints. Through reverence, blót, and sorcery, Thursatruar devoutly seek to spiritually elevate, achieve Ragnarök, and transcend back into Ginnungagap.

Thursatru is a spiritual undertaking where the flesh is only looked upon as a cosmic bond which imprisons the spirit, in which matters of the flesh are insignificant. Hence, Thursatruar care not of racism and nationalism.
